Changing the water is one of the most important care measures. How often should I change the water? But why? And when can this be done most easily?
You should change the water approx. every one to two weeks.
Changing the water is important, to reduce pollutants and to add important trace elements. Plants can better thrive, water values remain constant and aquarium inhabitant do well. By changing the water on a regular basis reduction of algae growth can be achieved.
How can I make changing the water as easily as possible?
Use the OASE Aqua In-Out Set to quickly change the water in your aquarium. The reliably pumps the old water out of the aquarium. With the 10 m hose you divert the water directly into a sink or washbasin and you do not need to carry any buckets (see photo, step 1). When the old water has been removed from the aquarium, simply place the pump in a bucket (see photo, step 2). Place the bucket under a water tap and the hose end in the aquarium. Open the water tap and let the pump transport sufficient fresh water into the aquarium (see photo, step 3). Thus your water change is completed cleanly and simply within minutes. By the way, thanks to the intake guard, the aquarium inhabitants are protected; they cannot be injured.
